God addiction or Theophilia is a psychological disorder that creates numerous social evils in the human race due to addiction to the imaginary entity God. God has been an imaginary entity till to date which can’t be proven logically or scientifically; so it’s always an assumption. This assumption planted as an entity in different forms in the minds of religious followers with different kind of faiths, that is as an set of ideas or ideology like monotheism or polytheism ideology whose addiction of God love ends with different kind of illogical or irrational thinking based on lies, human discrimination, contradiction of ideology which are based majorly only by psychological constructs i.e. entity created by only human imagination etc. When followers habituated to these humans made psychological religious believes which is based on imaginary entity God, it acts same as extreme loving or an addiction to love for a real-world entity. This kind of addictions are same as drug addiction or different kind of intoxication but here intoxication medium is an ideology i.e. religious ideology based on God. The God addiction ends with promotion of lies, delusions, irrationality, illogical thinking, blind beliefs, superstitions, human discrimination and different kind of social evils due to addicting these kinds of mental elements by followers. Theophilia or God Addiction is dangerous to human race and it streams from two Greek words “theos or theoi” meant “god” or “gods” and “philia” meant the love or obsession or addiction with a particular thing or subject; together Theophilia meant God Addiction.
